Firstly, thank you for wanting to find out what to donate. Food banks have seen a 500% increase in demand since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and they need all the support we can give them.

When it comes to giving to a food collection point the golden rule is non perishable ONLY. 

Non perishable foods

  • Cereal
  • Tins - tomatoes, lentils, beans, pulses, soup, vegetables, meat, fish, fruit, rice pudding
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Pasta sauce
  • Tea/Coffee
  • Sugar
  • Biscuits
  • UHT and dried milk
  • Carton fruit juice
  • Jam
  • Gluten free foods
  • Baby food and formula

Non food items

  • Washing up liquid
  • Loo roll
  • Hand soap
  • Shaving gel
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Hand wipes
  • Laundry powder/liquid
  • Deodorant (men's and women's)
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Shower gel
  • Sanitary towels/pads/liners, menstrual cups, tampons
  • Nappies
  • Baby wipes
